Uses Substitutes

There is all the time an alternative to all in life. Let me prove that to you now. If you want to add cream, just use yogurt or low fat cottage cheese instead. Try skimmed milk over whole milk. If you need to add egg to your low fat recipe, then do not contain the yellow part of it. Sugar can also be supplanted with honey. If you like to eat ice cream, try having sherbet instead. If you need to add pork or beef to your recipe, try replacing them with tofu.

Have less than 5 grams of Fat

Read the food label first before you eat anything! When we talk of low fat, it only has to have 5 grams of fat for every 100 grams of the product. That's the ideal ratio. If it is more that than, then it is no longer thought about low fat. Avoid chips, chocolate bars, pizza or other fried foods because they by all means; of course are soaring high with fat content!

Are Grilled, Baked and Steamed

A dish can only be thought about low in fat if it is cooked in any of these ways, grilled, baked or steamed. Other than those would have to make you think twice.
