How To Choose A Wedding Caterer

If you have decided to tie the knot with your partner you are probably feeling very excited. If you are to ensure that the big day goes as expected and is memorable for all the right reasons you should start planning the wedding as early as you can. One of the most important considerations will be choosing a caterer who can keep all the guests fed and content. To help ensure you choose the best caterer for your budget you should check out the following tips and advice.

To start with you should have in your mind an idea of the type of dishes and drinks that you would like to be served. It is important that your preferences are met as well as those of the majority of your guests. We all have different likes and dislikes when it comes to food, make sure the caterer you choose can provide meals that keep everyone happy. Keep in mind that some of the guests may have specific requirements, for example vegetarian dishes or allergen free meals.

When contacting caterers in person you will need to ask them about how they calculate their costs. Will it be on a per head basis or does it vary depending on the foods selected. Also find out whether table linen and drinks are included in the quote. Whether or not alcohol is served will depend on your own preferences.

It is often beneficial if you can be provided sample dishes prior to making a final decision on the foods that are to be served. This will help you have peace of mind that your guests will enjoy the food that is provided.

You should ask the caterer how many years experience they have of providing wedding services. Those with the most experience are more likely to provide a professional service. Avoid any frames that have little or no knowledge of catering at weddings.
